Looking like I've entered in a new world,
Calling me a hero, that's what I'm told
Saying that we're legendary, weapons that we wield,
Now that mine's revealed-Oh... I've got a shield
Doesn't matter, I'm heading up into battle
Gotta level, pedal to the metal, nothing I can't handle
Going in, partnering with Myne, let my quest begin
On the wind, power from within, know we're gonna win!
But then I wake up, life's about to shake up
I've been arrested for a conviction that's been made up
Wait up, they don't believe any of the words I say
Now I gotta find my own path, and my own way
Hated by the people who used to be on my side
Wallow in these feelings, I've gotta swallow my pride
Hollow as a being, but I gotta follow through
I know what to do now that I've finally found you
I'll be the shield and you'll be my sword
On battlefields we'll fight for our cause
Our fate is sealed, this world is at war, and you know
I'll be the hero
And now we're fighting side by side, may we live or die
No surprise, slowly gaining rep up in the people's eyes
I despise the princess who's put up a guise for inquest you can
Stay and witness it's in my interests to bring her down a size
I know you're haunted by the memories
But let me be your shield, there is nothing I can better be
I'll never be leaving you out of sight, be it day or night
Picking up your sword and be ready, 'cause this is why we fight
Dynamite, we about to blow up
Wave after wave, showing people that we've grown up
You've been shown up, I would never fear
'cause I got a party stronger than a bow, a sword or spear
And though I've been through the worst of it
All the voices might've hurt a bit; Every insult, I've heard of it
There's a chance I inverted it, I'm earning it, deserving it
I'm climbing to the top, and ain't nobody out there burning it.
I'll be the shield and you'll be my sword
On battlefields we'll fight for our cause
Our fate is sealed, this world is at war, and you know
I'll be the hero
