Lyrics

It's a good one Yeah, it is I can't wait to get out of here Oh, my God See that? That's what we've been looking for all our lives You know, if you want to make something happen, just keep peeling the Layers until you get down to the core and then boom, there's light Light doesn't come from a switch It comes from an idea An idea is like a seed If you plant it in the ground and water it, maybe Give it a little sunlight, it might grow into a tree And then maybe some other trees And then eventually, if you're really lucky, you'll have This big forest full of trees because ideas are like seeds They need to be planted in the ground and nurtured But when they grow into a large forest of Trees, they start shading out the sun And suddenly, everything dies because there is no more light So we need to find new ways to grow things New ways to use energy We used to think that energy was a limited resource here on earth But now we know that's not true There are lots and lots and lots of places in The universe where there is energy all around us Energy is all around us In fact, every atom or particle in the cosmos has energy The only place without energy is a black hole A black hole is a spot... A spot of nothingness It's empty There's not even a photon you could shoot Through it to get to the other side So how do we harness this energy? Well, scientists have been trying to figure that out for centuries Now, most people don't realize this, but the First person who figured out how to harness energy Was also the first person to discover gravity His name was Albert Einstein He realized very early on that everything Moves because of something called inertia Think about it When two objects are together... Say you have a car and a bus When they're together, they both move Why? Because of inertia This is why the bus doesn't go forward unless it hits the brake But if the bus goes off the bridge and hits an object, the bus stops Moving forward, but the object still Moves backward because of inertia So what happened here? What happened was that because of inertia, the bus and the cars Pushed against each other, and that's what made them go forward So what did Einstein learn by observing these Simple laws of physics that everybody knows? Well, he learned that those same basic laws Of physics were also working in his favor Remember, everyone likes to feel important Everyone likes to feel special Everybody likes to be appreciated And so what does Einstein do? He takes these three laws of nature and he combines them into one law Which states that power always flows from one source to another Power always flows from one source to another And what happens is as long as there are sources of power flowing There will always be movement, there will always be change And that's exactly what happened with the bus and the cars Because of inertia, the bus and the cars pushed Against each other, and that's what moved them forward But because of gravity, the bus stopped going forward But the object still went backward because of inertia So what happened here? What happened was that because of inertia, the bus and the cars Pushed against each other, and that's what made them go forward So what did Einstein learn by observing these Simple laws of physics that everybody knows?
