Alles Kann Besser Werden

The lyrics move between hope and frustration. The repeated promise that things can improve sits beside a speaker who feels trapped in a restricted place and cannot yet see a way out. Later, the song turns toward someone in deep distress, urging them to keep going. Its emotional direction is not a simple victory: it is a call to imagine change and hold on while the path remains unclear.

“Heaven on earth” is an image for a better, safer life here and now, not necessarily a literal place in the afterlife. The speaker’s “prison” and “district” suggest confinement or limited opportunity; these may be physical, but they can also represent feeling cut off from choices and the wider world. “I can see beyond the borders” expresses the belief that life may offer more than the situation immediately around the speaker.

The song combines confidence with uncertainty. The refrain sounds certain that improvement will come, while the verses admit not knowing how to escape. The encouragement to “not give up” may address a particular person, or it may broaden into a message for anyone who feels overwhelmed. The lyrics do not explain exactly what is trapping the speaker or what change would look like, leaving room to understand the struggle as personal, social, or both.
