Lyrics
Next year Iโm gonna be much better,
Iโll sort through all my old clothes, leave the heating off until it snows,
Next year Iโm gonna try much harder,
Never act until I think, I'll even cut back on my drink
You wonโt believe, all that Iโll achieve,
Once Iโve made up my mind up to be so good,
And it might not be today, but things will be ok,
Next year.
โโโโโโโโโ
Next year Iโm gonna be much better,
Iโll always eat my five a day, take the dogs out come what may,
Next year Iโm gonna act much smarter,
Iโll cut back on what I spend, Iโll just throw out what I canโt mend,
You wonโt believe, all that Iโll achieve
Once Iโve made my mind up to be so good,
And it might not be today, but things will be ok,
Next year.
โโโโโโโโโ
Oh, all of my days you know I wanted to be that better person, but,
Oh, all I can say is that โmy time will be coming, I am certainโ
โโโโโโโโโ
Cause next year Iโm gonna me much better,
Iโll cue politely at the bar, Iโll take the bike and not the car,
Next year Iโm gonna be much kinder,
Iโll listen to those I adore, and when I sleep, Iโll never snore,
You wonโt believe, all that Iโll achieve
Once I make my mind up to be so good,
And it might not be today, but things will be ok,
Next year.
And it might not be today, but things will be ok,
Next year.
