The beginning of shattered serenity
I was like 4 years old when momma told me
You gotta work twice as hard just to be seen as a valuable entity
Never forget what that meant to me
It was look in the mirror please and tell me what you see
No matter what you grow to be or achieve
They'll see you as black and that's all you'll ever be
And maybe right now you too young to understand but you got royalty in your DNA
When you are older and hearing cop commands they still liable to take your life away
This is a personal PSA get to the bag like it's TSA please turn those B's to A's
Don't want to see you with 7 rounds to the back while I just plea the case
I see you as black and special they see you as black and pay special attention
On sight you more automatic threat to them than a white boy
With semi automatic weapon
Just shot at these protestors saying black lives need to matter think it was all planned
Two people died and police are still fine
With white folk taking matters into their hands
At this point I am just hoping and praying to God that heaven exists
Not for my own peace of mind chilling with God eternal bliss
Not for the joy of seeing family I loved but surely missed
But so these murder police, take burden for these
They get sent to hell, and burn to a crisp
Shattered serenity scattered identities
I just pray the Lord forgive me for wishing this death on our enemies
This not the way it was meant to be and it is draining my energy
We can't even jog in peace, white militia walking freely with AR-15s
They say fear leads to anger and anger to hate and then hatred to suffering
If we embrace it and sit back and take it then nothing else changes
Same old situation until luck runs out again
Maybe equality is not a state of being that we all can achieve
Maybe it's 400 years of payback for the lies and evil they believe
As the world turns, they always telling me to be the bigger man
Bridges may burn but you can't fight fire with fire need bigger plans
Thought lesson was learned kill 'em with kindness and educate all your mans
Need tables to turn cause it is still tragedy when the pig trigger lands, so
At this point I am just hoping and praying to God that heaven exists
Not for my own peace of mind chilling with God eternal bliss
Not for the joy of seeing family I loved but surely missed
But so these murder police, take burden for these
They get sent to hell, and burn to a crisp
