Lyrics
Things have to change just to stay the same
The leopard changed its spots again and again
Too late to save the house of Savoy
Umberto 2 said the last goodbye
In '48 it was time for a change
The referendum marked the end of an age
One house and one millennium
Umberto 1 to Umberto 2 again
To Shepard
In every room of the house in Sicily
They had a leopard on every piece of livery
On all the flags that took delivery
On all the buildings and the burnt out monasteries
Feltrinelli jumped like a jaguar
Typing Olivetti typewriter
A man of letters and an agent of change
Yet the power of pens could not contain his rage
To Shepard
