Lyrics
History looks back
A lot of people who shook the earth
Who's at the top of the stack
A penny-less man, peculiar birth
Crazy thing is
We're looking back on Him
But before He came
They had heard He was comin'
I kid you not
We got the documents
Look what we got
Years and years and years
Before the man came
A Hebrew boy in Babylon
Predicted His fame saying
4 kingdoms comin'
Babylon the first will fall
And sure enough
The Medes and Persians came
And conquered it all
After that He said would come a new force
Another empire
Coming to steer the course
And that was when
The great of Alexander spread
Greek power taking the hour
Just like the Hebrew said
Three kingdoms past
The fourth was coming down the wire
Greeks down, who gets the crown
The Roman Empire
Crushin' and crushin' and crushin'
The nations gone before
That's when a different kind of kingdom
Came to the door
If you don't know it
I came here to get out the seed
And to sow it
Looking for hearts that are open
To listen, receive it and grow it
This is, this is the permanent kingdom
This is the One, they told you would come
Nothing to stop His dominion
Rome didn't know
Great as she was it was time for the show
How could be, Daniel predicted it
Right to the T
Growing up a baby boy
We call the King of Kings
A kingdom started by the hand of God
For human beings
They thought it would die
Maybe a flash in the pan or a lie
But no, it's growing into every place
And every tribe
If you don't know it
I came here to get out the seed
And to sow it
Looking for hearts that are open
To listen, receive it and grow it
This is, this is the permanent kingdom
This is the One, they told you would come
Nothing to stop His dominion
O the Permanent Kingdom
O the Permanent Kingdom
O the Permanent Kingdom
Listen
I don't know you or the places
That you call your home
But I can guarantee
You're livin' in a fragile zone
It's not a question of "if"
It's only "how and when"
Like all that went before
You'll watch it all unraveling
So I gotta say
You got some thinking and choices to make
Cause you got a king and
This is the message He sent me to bring
The King died to pardon
Every soul who bends the knee
Pic your side before He comes
To check your loyalties
What will you do
Everything's falling you're holding onto
Come to the King
Drink from His permanent love
It's a spring
If you don't know it
I came here to get out the seed
And to sow it
Looking for hearts that are open
To listen, receive it and grow it
This is, this is the permanent kingdom
This is the One, they told you would come
Nothing to stop His dominion no
O the Permanent Kingdom
O the Permanent Kingdom
O the Permanent Kingdom
O the Permanent Kingdom
O the Permanent Kingdom
O the Permanent Kingdom
