Well, I remember when
We shared our very first apartment
Baby, back where it began
Our fourth floor walk up out in Boston
And we would never sleep
If we weren't sleeping with each other
And I know that our love is strong
But somethin's feelin' off
It's been a slow December
I hope you're not this cold forever
And I miss the fire, the tangled sheets, the risin' of your body heat
You're lyin' here, but baby, where'd you go?
'Cause it's been a slow, slow Decะตmber (Mm)
Well, I'd fall into your arms
To hide from thะต heat of the summer
And you were pullin' wild cards
But still steady and calm as my lover
And we were such a team (Mm)
Nothin' could come in between us
And I know that our love is strong
But something's wrong
It's been a slow December
I hope you're not this cold forever, yeah
I miss the fire, the tangled sheets, the risin' of your body heat
You're lyin' here, but baby, where'd you go?
'Cause it's been a slow, slow December
We were connected to each other
I traced every freckle on your body like a constellation
Held me like a treasure, the world gave us pressure
And we came out as diamonds, but this winter's gettin' cold
It's been a slow December
And I hope you're not this cold forever
Yeah, it's been a slow December
Yeah, and I hope you're not this cold forever
Miss the fire, the tangled sheets, the risin' of your body heat
You're lyin' here, but baby, where'd you go? Oh
'Cause it's been a slow, slow December
