We could blame it on the timing
Say it was nobody's fault
Why you gotta blindsight me?
Three months of leading me on
Now I don't know what to call it
All I know is it's past tense
Twisting all my emotions
Like we're doing gymnastics
Now I'm drinking and crying
While I'm still in your jacket
I hate the way you're not my ex
'Cause now you're living in my head (yeah yeah)
And maybe it was only sex
'Cause now you're leaving me a mess (yeah yeah)
No, you're-
Not my-
Not my-
Not my-
Not my friend
And you're-
Not my-
Not my-
Not my boyfriend
Doesn't mean I miss you less
You're just not my-
Not my-
Not my ex
Guess I can't be mad about it (oh my god)
'Cause the truth is that we weren't together
But that isn't how we actеd
Like when we FacеTime your sister
Used to sleep on your bedside
(You look great in the sunlight)
Breaking up doesn't sound right
(You were technically not mine)
Oh you were technically not mine
I hate the way you're not my ex
'Cause now you're living in my head (yeah yeah)
And maybe it was only sex
'Cause now you're leaving me a mess (yeah yeah)
No, you're-
Not my-
Not my-
Not my-
Not my friend
And you're-
Not my-
Not my-
Not my boyfriend
Doesn't mean I miss you less
You're just not my-
Not my-
Not my ex
Now I don't know what to call it
All I know is it's past tense
Twisting all my emotions
Like we're doing gymnastics
I hate the way you're not my ex
'Cause now you're living in my head (yeah yeah)
And maybe it was only sex
'Cause now you're leaving me a mess (yeah yeah)
No, you're-

Not my-
Not my friend
And you're-

Not my boyfriend
Doesn't mean I miss you less
You're just not my-
Not my-
Not my ex (not my ex, no)
