Lyrics
It was a beautiful day, the sun beat down
I heard the radio walk, I was a drive
The trees went by, me and Dale were singing
Yeah, we were blowin', I was a jive
I'm running down a dream
That never would come to me
Working on a mystery
Going wherever it leads
Running down a dream
I felt so good, like anything was possible
I hit cruise control and rubbed my eyes
The last eight days, the rain was unstoppable
It was always cold and no sunshine
I'm running down a dream
That never would come to me
Working on a mystery
Going wherever it leads
Running down a dream
I rode on as the sky grew dark
I put the pedal down, make some time
There's something good waitin' down this road
I'm pickin' up whatever is mine
I'm running down a dream
That never would come to me
Working on a mystery
Going wherever it leads
Running down a dream
I'm running down a dream
That never would come to me
Working on a mystery
Going wherever it leads
Running down a dream
