Lyrics
Well I wish I was a catfish
Swimming in no deep blue sea
I have all good looking women
Swimming, swimming, swimming after me
Oh, oh, oh Lord
Well I'm going down to the river
You know I'm gonna jump over
Overboard and drown
You know the woman I was loving
You know the woman I was loving
Won't pay me no mind
Oh sure enough it was a
Oh Lord
Well my mother told my father
Just before I was born
I got a boy child coming
I got a boy child coming
Gonna be a rolling stone
May pretty women lead him by his hand
And everybody know I'm the catfish man
Oh Lord
Oh yeah
Well so long, I hate to say goodbye
You listen to my story, I can tell you why
You know you didn't want me
When you fell down on my bed
You was drinking old granddaddy
Talking all out of your head
Oh you know I wished I wished woman
Oh I was a catfish swimming in the sea
I have all the good looking women
You know just swimming after me
