Saturday night on Main Street Well, I'm not from around here I know you can tell Dale's singing his heart out And I wind down the window to let the smoke out, yeah We play pool and we muck around And the bad karaoke is the only sound And I usually lose each and every round The black goes down early Yeah, my skin warms up and the night rolls on There's a song about dancing, getting along I quite like this place, cheesy and small With the disco lights and barstools Boki's in the corner Dirty polo neck's behind the bar I'll have a packet of Rothmans, twenties, thanks And can you look after my jacket, now? Yeah, my skin warms up and the night rolls on There's a song about dancing, getting along I quite like this place, cheesy and small With the disco lights and barstools On the motorway it occurs to me just where I live So we're driving home past the pretty clubs There's jaggy hems and highlights and sterling silver teeth Well, she's lovely on the outside, just not much underneath I have to be reminded why everybody's here Yeah, we're all looking for something Guess we haven't found it elsewhere Now things are closing up so we head back to town And I'm so pleased to announce that I've no sorrows to drown Yeah, my skin warms up and the night rolls on There's a song about dancing, getting along I quite like this place, cheesy and small With the disco lights and barstools Yeah, my skin warms up And the night rolls on There's a song about dancing Getting along
