Lyrics
My baby told me to leave her alone
She'd rather sleep with a telephone
It wasn't always this way
Seems like only yesterday
I'd pick her up and we'd go downtown
She really knew how to let down
Other girls didn't stand a chance
When she went into her rock and roll dance
Rocking shoes, rocking shoes
See her dance to that rhythm and blues
Her legs were long and her toenails red
Rocking shoes drive you out of your head
Rocking shoes, rocking shoes
My baby told me to leave her alone
She'd rather sleep with a telephone
It wasn't always this way
Seems like only yesterday
I'd pick her up, we'd go downtown
She really knew how to let down
Other girls didn't stand a chance
When she went into her rock and roll dance
Rocking shoes, rocking shoes
See her dance to that rhythm and blues
Her legs were long and her toenails red
Rocking roll shoes drive you out of your head
Rocking shoes, rocking shoes
And dance to that rhythm and blues
