So this next song, it was popular when it came out
But it's experienced a real resurgence in popularity
It's been surprising a lot of people
It's surprised me even, it's surprised me a number of times
So, I think you'll know it, feel free to sing along
No pressure if you don't
ย
Because we've got a good thing going
I'll just, I'll just share something with you
I love the enthusiasm, and you're like, "This is an energetic song, we're going to add energy to it"
Unfortunately, every time a crowd starts clapping
If you like tempo-mapped it, it would look like a ski jump
Without fail, which is not a problem if the band starts playing
But they're not going to start playing for like another sixty seconds
So what I usually do is if you're clapping
I will, like, right before starting again, skip like a beat and a half
And everyone's like
And then I start singing
But since, since we've got such a good thing going
And I don't feel like I need to like not say this
You just, you just can't clap on this song
That's it
And the rules of clapping as an audience
If the drummer is playing, you can clap
If the drummer is not playing, you should never clap
That's it
And I say that from a place of love
Like I'm equipping you
Okay, here we go
