Lyrics

I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better Now that I'm here And I'm on my way I got something I wanna say Stand here saying Ain't I clean? Lend me your best ear Here's what I mean I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better I started out A long time ago Shy and bashful And a little bit slow But at 17 I was gettin' warm At 28 I was just like the song I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better Ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better 39 I showed you a lot And at 42 I was still runnin' hot And at 49 You think I slowed down, uh-uh 52 Still the man about town Ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better Ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better Let's show it to 'em, fellas Here it is now That's all right, fellas Let's try it again One more time Ow! 53 I still was clean And at 54 Still on the scene 55 Funkest man alive And at 56 Don't handle no jive Turning gray Gettin' a little bit bald I look back on life With love for all of y'all I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better Listen to me Oh! It's all right Oh! Feel all right I'm like good whiskey I mellow with age I'm like good whiskey I mellow with age Like ol' man river Keep rollin' along Like ol' man river Rollin' along Like ol' man river Keep rollin' along Like ol' man river Rollin' along I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better now Like ol'... I'm gettin' better now Oh! I'm gettin' better I'm gettin' better now I'm gettin' better I'm gettin' better Listen to this right here, y'all Uh-huh Uh-huh Uh-huh Uh-huh Uh-huh Uh-huh Uh-huh Uh-huh Ow! I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better now I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better Feelin' mightier, y'all Feelin' mightier, y'all Feelin' mightier, y'all Feelin' mightier, y'all My muscles are standin' My muscles are standin' high My muscles are standin' My muscles are standin' high Oh! I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better now I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better now Listen Oh, ho Hey, hey Hey Hey, hey Got to repeat a little bit, now listen At 53 I still was clean And at 54 Ha Still on the scene 55 Funkest man alive 56 Can't stand no jive Oh! I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better now I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better now I'm turning gray Gettin' a little bit bald Look back on life With love for all of y'all That means everybody I ain't gettin' older Gettin' better I ain't gettin' older I'm gettin' better Everybody hear me now
