Lyrics
That was the story of our love
That was the story of our love
Some years ago, I met a girl whose eyes were bright
Some years ago, I used to hold her hands so tight
But years were gone, and our split-up lives kept going on
In those sweet days, when we used to walk down through the bay
In those sweet days, you said that you would always stay
But now I know, that was the story of our love
That was the time that still figures on my mind
That was the time when I could learn to cry
Those were the days, I'd never change her off
But all this vanished love still can make me fall
That was the story of our love
That was the story of our love
Each night I hope to have you back someday
But I can't cheat myself, you just pass away
So now I look this mirror up above
The stars will tell us the story of our love
