You say I'm the kinda girl who makes you finally settle down
Put a down payment on a little white house
Mama's gonna love me, front row every Sunday kinda Christian
No cussin'
Tell me I'm the reason that you cleaned up your act
Wouldn't have a future if I knew your past
Biggest regret is that you wish you would've met me sooner
But if you knew her
I was a train wreck, hot mess
Too many cigarettes
Bangin' with some drug store lipstick
I was a weeknight drinker
Karaoke singer
Top of every preacher's prayer list
The way I used to be
I can guarantee
Two weeks in, you would've left me
Looking at the old me
Anything but holy
Glad you didn't know me
Before you met me
I would've chewed you up and I would've spit you out
One night mistake that you tell your friends about
Time was on my side
We've have ended before we even started
Back when
I was a train wreck, hot mess
Too many cigarettes
Bangin' with some drug store lipstick
I was a weeknight drinker
Karaoke singer
Top of every preacher's prayer list
The way I used to be
I can guarantee
Two weeks in, you would've left me
Looking at the old me
Anything but holy
Glad you didn't know me
Before you met me
ย
Didn't know no better
Wasn't thinking 'bout forever
Didn't know myself
Before you met me
I was a train wreck, hot mess
Too many cigarettes
Bangin' with some drug store lipstick
I was a weeknight drinker
Karaoke singer
Top of every preacher's prayer list
The way I used to be
I can guarantee
Two weeks in, you would've left me
Looking at the old me
Anything but holy
Glad you didn't know me
Before you met me
