In the hotel drawing up plans
Just to hit this we had to spend grands
Got two security vans and a uniform each for the rest of my mans
No big macs we got the six shooters
Squish the alarm and trip the computer
Today's locksmith will be Nicky D
So we need C4 or TNT
Got on the blower to Plastic Man
Who came with the goods in a transit van
By ten to six we were ready and dressed
By 6AM we're at the RBS
Everybody's prang so I'm telling them chill
We should each come away with half a mil
Parked up the vans to block the view
Now its time for me to do what I do
Walked in the bank but it wasn't a stick up
No room to trip up, we gotta do the pick up
Said hi to the manager, smart as a bean
My security outfit worked like a dream
Nobody batted an eyelid as I slid to the back of the bank
It was like it didn't matter what I did
They were blinded to the matter and blank
The rest are in the back room setting up explosives
I had to act cool like I didn't know this
Ten past six on my watch it goes tick
It's my time to go sick
I scream (Ahh) acted hysterical
They admit what I did next was terrible
Banged the manager to cause a distraction
Any second now and we'll be all into action
If you wanna get paid, you gotta be brave
Just don't be afraid, it's all in the game
Time for the tax man
If you wanna get paid, you gotta be brave
Just don't be afraid, it's all in the game
Time for the tax man
The manager goes down hits the floor
That's my cue to charge the C4
With the sticky tape put it onto the safe
When I send the text it will all detonate
I take the blue wire, slip it round the lock
And the red wire, tucked in the back of the clock
And it's all in sync, I charge the C4
So I cover my ears and close the backroom door
Out by the hall, tryna send the text
But there's no signal, my mobile's a mess
I go back to the safe, reset the time
And I gotta be quick cause it's time to press
J's on my case like "Hurry up Nick!"
Well I'm tryna make the clock countdown quick
It's all good I got the plan doo-dan
Ten seconds left and the safe went bang
If you wanna get paid, you gotta be brave
Just don't be afraid, it's all in the game
Time for the tax man
If you wanna get paid, you gotta be brave
Just don't be afraid, it's all in the game
Time for the tax man
The safe was far from intact
I stepped inside and the walls were stacked
With cash, bonds and bars of gold
We filled sixteen bags with an equal load
From the safe to the trolley, from the trolley to the van
We left that safe looking like a tin can
Plastic Man was ready and set
But there was one more thing that I had to get
Pressed eject on the video machine
Removed all footage of me and my team
Jumped in the van and left the scene
It seemed my big plan worked like a dream, I mean
It was only 6:26
We were heading out of town on the M56
I knew a few chicks living out in the sticks
Who said we could chill till we're out the mix
If you wanna get paid, you gotta be brave
Just don't be afraid, it's all in the game
Time for the tax man
If you wanna get paid, you gotta be brave
Just don't be afraid, it's all in the game
Time for the tax man
