Dead Eternity

The lyrics present existence as an endless condition rather than a journey with a clear destination. At first, the promise that the listener will never be alone or die again may sound comforting, but it becomes threatening: the person is trapped in eternity. The mood moves from a strange welcome to fear, anguish, and finally a cold, empty stillness.

The speaker calls itself “existence” and describes controlling part of the listener’s experience, suggesting an impersonal force that governs life and time. The image of a “black cloud” embracing the soul implies growing despair, while “repeating lacunas of anguish” suggests gaps or periods of suffering that keep returning. “Time will be your master” is a metaphor: time is imagined as a ruler that limits and directs human life.

The ending leaves some uncertainty about what happens after death. “Thinking tranquility” could suggest a peaceful state, but the surrounding images of emptiness, chilling stillness, and helplessness make that peace seem unsettling rather than comforting.
