The projector's on, these lights are off
She's teaching the colors in classrooms
As the interest is lost
Her career has been put in perspective today
Is this really what she wanted to be?
She lectures students, they all tease her from the back row
They're just here for the credit
But they're making her sure that she'll never be back in a classroom again
Is there anything you can say to convince me I'm on the right track?
I'm moving forward, no need to look back now
I'm questioning all this time and all the money spent
Was any of it worth all the effort that was put in?
Turns on a video and immediately she leaves the room
Slams the door, release the stress
And this will prove this job takes strength, this job takes dedication
Well, the students convinced her that she doesn't need it anymore
Well, there's nothing you can do to convince me that I am on the right track
Not moving forward, I'm on my way back down to where it all starts again
Still paying bills, four whole years and still no career
