The sun has gone to sleep, goodnight sun
The trees have gone to sleep, goodnight
The flowers in their beds, they rest their weary heads
So go to sleep, go to sleep
The sheep are in their beds, goodnight sheep
The chicks lay with their hens, goodnight
The birds all rest their wings and night owl gently sings
Go to sleep
Close your eyes, close your eyes
Close your eyes and think of pretty things
Close your eyes, close your eyes
Hear this bedtime lullaby
ย
The moon begins to glow, goodnight moon
The lights are turned down low, goodnight
The stars are in the sky, the clouds are way up high
So go to sleep, go to sleep
Your friends have gone to sleep, goodnight friends
The day has reached its end, goodnight
Gather all your toys
It's time for girls and boys to go to sleep
Close your eyes, close your eyes
Close your eyes and think of pretty things
Close your eyes, close your eyes
Hear this bedtime lullaby
