The Battle of Orgreave has become the symbol of the
Change of the image of the United Kingdom in the world
When you look at Orgreave, it's too important to be brushed
Aside and that's undermined the faith not only in the police
But in the political system itself to allow the prosecution
Of so many people, quite wrongly, but there's been no accountability
No authority has ever been brought to book over this
Over 3,000 policemen were sent against miners
Special detachments as well as mounted
Police were brought into the action
These people, whose lives had been changed into
Struggle, into suffering, confrontation and
Deprivation, had lost too much to give in anymore
These closing down of the mine means the death of a mining
Community, its traditional existence and style of life
ย
One of the worst cases of collusion and
Corruption, of evidence and of policy
And therefore, until this boil is
Lanced, none of us should rest at all
