Lyrics
There's once was this dog headed saint, living on the outskirts of town
he had paws like a bear, and the strength of an army combined
Long ago he sat out to serve the most powerful man he could find.
oh he traveled the world, asking wiseman from east and from south
show me where, (the power resides,) this man i can find
Now the wiseman replied, there's a worrierking in the north
with an army of millions and a kingdom of cannons and swords
so our saint traveled fare, then he finally he arrived at the courts
let me serve you, dear king, with my strength,
cause i hear there's no one
with the power that you hold.
and our saint served him well, killing beasts of the sea and the sky
but one time late at night, he could sense that the king had a fright
now who scares you my king, he refused to replay cause he new
if i tell you, you'll leave, but are saint swore that this was not true
so he told him ́bout satan the angel of light.
and the very next day, he took of, on his search once again
when he stumble upon a deep cave, and he tumbled straight into hell
at the bottom he saw, all the demons, and the devil himself
let me serve you, great dragon, with my strength,
cause there is no one else, with your power, and your excellence
and our saint served him well, as a worrier, and the keeper of hell
but sometimes he would wonder why the devil should need any help?
so he asked him one night, but the devil refused to replay
if i tell you, you'll leave, but are saint swore, and once again lied
so he told him bout a man they called christ
once again he took of, and he fooled all the demons of hell
Then he met with a monk, where to find this man Satan repels?
you must fast and pray hard, but our saint looked depressed to the ground
i have strength like a bull, in a fight, there's no match to be found
but what you ask, i don't know how
Now our monk was no fool, but a smart man, you can carry our people across,
the river outside the city, we need someone as strong as an ox
one day this new born baby, needed help reaching the other side
when the saint crossed the river, the child grew so heavy, that our saint cried out loud:
the sins of the world must be carried by this child
Now some say that the tears was the reason, and some others the crossing itself,
some say the child must have healed him, and some claimed they saw it themselves
now whos right, where not certain, but one thing we do know for sure
the Dog-headed saint became human, he's a baker, living next door
to this lowly troubadour
