(Forgotten)
God's purpose it was written down
Lost treasure, something found in the lost in found
Just a face with a frown, walking in the crowd
My only focus was to make bread and break it with the ones around
I was lookin' up at clouds lookin' for a sign
Waitin' for my time
Tryna find every perfect rhyme
Tryna do things, makin' singles off of loose change
Do shit by myself, I maneuver like I'm Bruce Wayne
The love it never stays
As soon as you don't got it, then it starts to fade away
My life ain't picture perfect but I'll make it fit the frame
Fuck what anybody say
Did it by myself and nothing was the same
Look who I became momma, I'ma lift you up
I know what we got right now hasn't been enough
Wonder what goes through ya head when you feelin rough
When you given up
But momma listen up
Your son is gonna do it big, talking to a crowd
And when they say my words I'ma tell 'em say it loud
I'm livin' for the now
I work to make you proud
The teachers used to get mad, say my head was in the clouds
But look at what I'm doin' now, we got a couple of racks
And soldiers all around, yeah we got each others backs
I ain't gotta deal with rats, leave the rodents in the trap
You go against the team we could make you fade to black
After all the shit we been through only realness on the tracks
Yeah, they needed somebody to spit the facts
Yeah, they needed somebody to spit the facts
Yeah, been stayin' in my zone lately
Been movin' too clever, got others who start to hate me
The part I hate most is they clap when they really hate me
But they never send shots, I got everybody on safety
I could put you in a group, none of these dudes factors
You disappear, it wouldn't even matter
I just flipped the page and started a whole new chapter
I see right through you like you Casper
Damn, it ain't Halloween
I got the hollow tip if you comin' against the team
The team will spill ya bean, have you lookin' like Mr. Clean
Deposits on the daily, what a daily routine (Forgotten)
Yeah, mixin' liquor and the juice
Even Adam and Eve was drinkin' forbiddden fruits
Said the liquor make her sin but really it's an excuse
Now she sittin' in the coupe, like baby what's up with you?
I'm just tryna live my life
I'm only here once, so I'm tryna live it right
Won't get another chance, I can't do this shit twice
Started doing better when I didn't take no ones advice
Started doing better when I learned to right a wrong
Hate feeling stuck, I'ma keep it movin' on
Never been too good at trying to play along
