I want a puppy dog
A little scruffy dog
A friend that's always there for me
I want a puppy dog
To listen when I talk
Who loves me just for me
Then I won't be lonely
I want a puppy that's little and cute
I'm going to bring him back home
And dress him up in a suit
Put him in my wagon and I'll give him a bone
I'm gonna let him go poop
Then I'll bring them back home
I'll feed him bacon and hamburgers too
I'll let him swim in a lake
And let him chew on my shoe
We're going to watch TV all night long
And if he can't fall asleep
I'm going to sing him a song like
I want a puppy dog
A little scruffy dog
One that's always there for me
I want a puppy dog to listen when I talk
Who loves me just for me
Then I won't be lonely
I don't want to wait for Christmas or Kwanzaa
Or Hanukkah or Ramadan
Please, please give me one now
I don't want a chicken or a bunny or a fish
Or a cat or a pig or a cow
(I wanna dog)
I just want a friend I can hold when I'm scared at night
To protect my family, protect my toys
And protect my neck from a vampire bite
Every single morning at 7 AM
I promise to take him out faithfully
And if he has an accident right after school
I promise to scrub the rug, so it won't smell like pee
Every day I'll feed him three times
I'll teach him to dance when I'm spittin' my rhymes
I'll teach him to sit, shake hands, and roll over
I promise to give him a cool name, not Rover
Maybe Ninja Pup Blast
A name like that would make him run so fast
Or I could name him Bob
I don't really care, I just wanna dog
I want a puppy dog, a little scruffy dog
A friend that's always there for me
I want a puppy dog
To listen when I talk
Who loves me just for me
Then I won't be lonely
I will love him every single day
I know that he'll never run away
He will always love me just for me
Then I won't be lonely
I want a puppy dog
Really, really want a puppy dog (Then I won't be lonely)
I want a puppy dog
Please, please, I want a puppy dog
(Little puppy dog) I want a puppy dog
Really, really want a puppy dog (My sweet puppy dog)
I want a puppy dog
Please, please, I want a puppy dog
