Lately, I've been tryna kick it in the background
I've been tryna tune out all the bad sounds
I'm just tryna come up cause I'm so down (Yeah)
Lately, I've been tryna kick it in the background
I've been tryna tune out all the bad sounds
I'm just tryna come up cause I'm so down (Yeah)
You see, the way my heart was set up was
It didn't know the difference between truth and assumptions
There's something
That's steady tryna limit my function
It might be me
Or maybe demons or some shit
I laugh it off (Ha)
Steady attacking when I'm blacking
Don't know who to call
I'm sorry kid, I gotta dip
It's always good seeing you and all
But everything ain't meant to last
That's why I had to move along
I'm tryna see the world from every angle
Plus the moon and stars
I'm tryna feel what love is like
And will I have to travel far
Or what if I said fk it and I moved out to the amazon
I'd probably find myself
And maybe not even remember home
Or maybe I'd go crazy
Fk around and lose my sh*t or something
And I'm climbing summits
I'll amount to something after all
Moving forward step by step
It's pretty hard to make me fall
My destiny just called
That sh*t aligned me with the greats
So wherever the wind takes
Baby, just know that sh*t was fate
Lately, I've been tryna kick it in the background
I've been tryna tune out all the bad sounds
I'm just tryna come up cause I'm so down (Yeah)
Lately, I've been tryna kick it in the background
I've been tryna tune out all the bad sounds
I'm just tryna come up cause I'm so down (Yeah)
You're the one for me
(And you're the one for me)
And I'm the one you want
(And I'm the one you want)
So girl come with me
(So girl just come with me)
You don't gotta front
See, I was down
Driving around town
Speeding and bugging all out
Need me a crown
Cause I am the king of this now
Really I need me a crowd
And I'm
Feeling it happen
There's n*ggas that know me just off of this rapping
So I
Remain on my humblest tip
Even when I wanna quit
Pour up
Some Paul in the cup and
I get to sipping and talking my sh*t
But I
Remain in the background
Got nothing on me like a pat down
My slate is clean
I can just black now
I cleared out my RAM for these damn sounds
Like, my memory is coming back
I done did a little dirt
But drew no X's on my map
That means you'll have to come to me
If you been wondering where I'm at
I'm going ghost on all you n*ggas
Pulling out on all these b*tches
And if I don't call you fam
I'm probably not fking witchu
What's the issue with the people these days
It seems like everyone just backtracks
And folds like Lay's
What a shame
Y'all on the same sh*t from like 10th grade
There'll come a day when y'all will realize
You were in your own way
But hey
Lately, I've been tryna kick it in the background
I've been tryna tune out all the bad sounds
I'm just tryna come up cause I'm so down (Yeah)
