Sun And Steel

The lyrics describe a person shaped from childhood into a fighter, first killing at thirteen and learning to fight by sixteen. The repeated chorus presents violence as the center of this person’s life. Yet the song also suggests an ongoing process: the wheel keeps turning, and the fighter’s story does not reach a clear end.

“Sunlight falling on your steel” places bright, natural light against a weapon, making the image both striking and unsettling. “Death in life is your ideal” suggests that the fighter values a life defined by danger and killing, though the phrase may also imply that this ideal makes ordinary life feel empty. “Life is like a wheel” can mean that events repeat or keep moving, perhaps carrying the person through endless cycles of conflict.

The lyrics leave the fighter’s journey open to interpretation. The references to earth, water, fire, and wind may suggest passing through trials or forces of nature, but they do not explain exactly what happens. Likewise, the command to break both the person and the blade could imply that the weapon and its owner are bound together—or that both must be destroyed. The tone admires strength while also hinting at the cost of living by violence.
