Fire Your Guns

The lyrics present a speaker who is intensely attracted to a confident, physically striking woman. At first, the speaker describes her appearance and movement with excitement; the repeated “Fire!” and “Fire your guns” make the mood sound louder and more urgent. The song focuses on desire and physical energy rather than on a relationship or a detailed story.

Several images emphasize how powerful her effect seems to be. Saying her legs could “break your nerves” or “shake the earth” is exaggeration: it suggests that her appearance and movement feel overwhelming, not that she literally causes these things. “Make you drown” also suggests being overcome by pleasure or excitement. The phrase “fire your guns” uses weapon imagery as a sexual metaphor, though it can also simply add a forceful, rebellious sound.

The tone is deliberately bold and boastful, and some descriptions may sound objectifying because the woman is mostly presented through her body and the speaker’s desire. Still, she is not described as passive: her biting, wild eyes, and commanding movements suggest confidence and control. The lyrics leave unclear whether “fire your guns” refers only to sexual release or also to the song’s general image of explosive energy.
