When I look to You my High Priest
You get my mind straight
Your Word is magnetic like old tapes
Playing back Truth and Grace
You make me elevate
My inner eagle
Over evil
Over heavyweight
You are my teacher
And ain't nobody equal
You take my burdens
And my groans and you free me
'Cause I can testify
Walking in the Way of Your lightweight
Lifts me high
Every burden on my chest
I can Space X
And send it to Your throne room
With You
Every pain is a hello
Inviting me to let go
Find rest for my soul, You hold
A lot of talk about therapy
I ain't against it
I just wonder if we're talking to You first
And taking time to listen
Your peace is not elusive
Your truth is the truest
In this age of confusion
I believe
You're closer than my socials
And a lot more helpful
'Cause You've been waiting for me all day
To FaceTime on this three-way
The Spirit has You and the Father
For my head case
So my burden and my sorrow
I'll throw them in Your hands
Until tomorrow
Time for some sleep before the next day
You are a Shepherd through my sorrow
Empathizing in the realest way
Grace
Why wait when I know I got to let go?
Why Wait? Yeah, you know you got to let go
Why wait when I know I got to let go?
You are the Shepherd of my Soul
Look up
There is Messiah for your sorrow
He is faithful when we're not
His therapy's never on loan
Never highbrow
He never looks down
Or demeans us in our pit
His hand only extends, expands
To give us lift
Believe that
Yo! Receive that
He'll walk us through the mess
Yeah, life's messy and He knows this
He took blows on His body
And threw no fists
His compassion is matchless
His gentleness, genuine
He is the chief of all therapists
And His scars show He earned it
So pick your chin up
He knows our struggle
Walked it every day
Anguish written on His pages
Knowing every pain
For each one He came
Heaven's sent Son
To a cursed world
Serving up grace
See
Through the Garden of Gethsemane
To the hellish hill of Calvary
He suffered deep pain
No one can claim
So let Him in
He'll be the closest of your kin
Every day and forever
Our souls' medicine
Why wait when I know I got to let go?
Why Wait? Yeah, you know you got to let go
Why wait when I know I got to let go?
You are the Shepherd of my Soul
Yea, yea, yea, yea
Yea, yea, yea, yea
Yea, yea, yea, yea
You are the Shepherd of my Soul
Yea, yea, yea, yea
Yea, yea, yea, yea
Yea, yea, yea, yea
You are the Shepherd of my Soul
Why wait when I know I got to let go?
You are the Shepherd of my Soul
