And uh, I see that a lot of, a lot of the young
Folks are building on some of the things that
You laid down in the development of so-called rap
Yes, uh, they were napping when we were rapping
And what is, what is, what, what is the
Relationship to you between Last Poets and rap now?
Well, we called it Spographics, which means spoken pictures
And what we call rapping is what we doing right now
Mhm. Uh, I noticed that, uh, recently, uh, Melle Mel did a cover
Of certain parts of "Hustler's Convention." Any feelings on that?
Well, uh, fair exchange is no robbery, but unfair exchange is a beat

What you gonna do?
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
What you gonna do? Hey
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
What you gonna do?
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
What you gonna do? Hey
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
Wake up, mighty nation, from your sleep
Flex your muscles, stand up on your feet
Put your fears behind and activate your mind
Just know that the taste of freedom is bitter sweet
Speak up loudly, let your voice be heard
Train your tongue to speak a righteous word
Think before you talk and look before you walk
To be oppressed forever, why, that's absurd
Come on, do your part before you die
Don't let a chance for freedom pass you by
You owe it to the youth to search and find the truth
Results depend on just how hard you try
You must look to the future right away
You must get on the move without delay
And when all is said and done and victory is won
You will find you've moved the obstacles away
Wake up yourself from this unpleasant dream
Your limbs must work together as a team
Your future could be great if you cooperate
Just believe me, things ain't always what they seem
What you gonna do?
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
What you gonna do? Hey
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
What you gonna do?
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
What you gonna do? Hey
You better get moving 'fore we all are through

Break the bonds that hold you to the earth
Free yourself, show the world your worth
Let your motto be, "I'm determined to be free
To give my children freedom from the birth"
Unleash that talent, put your mind to work
Who knows what joy's behind tomorrow's doors?
It's time to take a stand and give yourself a hand
But first you must be free of doubt and search
Search your soul, free yourself within
Let the truth become your bosom friend
Make your motto right and your future will be bright
Just reassure yourself that you can win
Put your words and actions in accord
Keep your obligations to the Lord
The time is much too late to procrastinate
Your actions will determine your reward
Wake up, wake up, got to say it twice
There ain't nothing happening without some sacrifice
So do what you got to do before we all are through
If you want freedom, prepare to pay the price
What you gonna do?
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
What you gonna do? Hey
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
What you gonna do?
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
What you gonna do? Hey
You better get moving 'fore we all are through
