Lavatory Love Machine

The lyrics turn a long, risky flight into a bawdy comic fantasy. The speaker is eager to reach Brazil but dislikes flying and fears a crash. A flight attendant catches his attention, and his fear gives way to exaggerated sexual confidence. The mood mixes danger with reckless humor: even the thought of dying becomes part of the joke.

“Lavatory Love Machine” suggests a sexual encounter in an airplane bathroom, while the repeated images of fire, broken wings, and crashing set that fantasy against the real danger of air travel. The speaker’s claim that no fear can stop his “steam” uses steam as a playful image of desire and energy. The captain’s absurd announcement, with its boast about flying faster, extends the song’s comic, deliberately crude tone.

The lyrics do not present the speaker as a reliable or serious narrator. His bold talk may be a way to cover his fear, or simply part of the outrageous joke. The flight attendant is described as commanding and dominant, but the song’s exaggerated language leaves unclear how much of this is imagined rather than an actual interaction. Overall, it treats fear, lust, and danger as ingredients in a ridiculous fantasy, not as a realistic account.
