Sitting in a hotel room, have to start work soon, hmm
Breakfast on a plastic tray, Birmingham is very grey, hmm
Wasn't very good last night, got to be bright tonight
The hotel room is green and white, nothing blue in sight, hmm
Landscape on the wall, a pond and trees quite tall, hmm
TV on the stand, guitar in my hands, hmm
Last night I thought, "I'll never ever write another song"
Last night I decided that all the songs I write are wrong
Last night was nothing to write about, that's why I'm writing this song
Last night was a night to forget about, like you'll forget when I'm gone

Finish this song soon (finish this song soon), hmm
Got to do a TV show (got to do a TV show) in Manchester, oh no
Put the guitar away, nothing more to say, hmm
