Sweet hour of prayer,
Sweet hour of prayer,
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at, my Father's throne,
Make all my wants and wishes known,
In seasons of distress and greed,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft' escaped the tempters lare,
By thine return, sweet hour of prayer,
Sweet hour of prayer,
Sweet hour of prayer,
Thy wings shall nigh petition there,
to Him who's truth and faithfulness,
Engage the waiting souls to bless,
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His word and trust His grace,
I cast on Him, my every care,
and wait for Thee,
Sweet hour of prayer
Whisper a prayer in the morning,
Whisper a prayer at noon,
Whisper a prayer in the evening,
to keep your heart in tune,
God answers prayer in the morning,
God answers prayer at noon,
God answers prayer in the evening,
So keep your heart in tune.
