With no hope for the future
And no idea of how to get there
Burning Desire by Michael J. Bonema
This is what you call a dark romantic horror with comedic twists
It tells the tale of a fire so deeply rooted in revenge
And devastation that was masked with an intricate beauty
It begins somewhere along the borders of
Well, somewhere along the borders of Liberia and Côte d'Ivoire
The home of the Dan tribe

The ceremonial masks are used for dance
And are said to be spirits that manifest themselves into masks
Different masks possessing different responsibilities
One day the low self-esteemed mask carver awakes
& treads into his living room to be met to a delightful surprise
