Lyrics
Watch him go, yea, a griddly prancer
Tappin' toes and clackin' heels
Jumpin' Jack, he's best clog dancer
E'er stepped out wi' jigs and reels
Twistin', turnin', pointin', prancin'
While our fiddle sings away
Lighter than a feather dancin'
On a breezy month o' May
Watch on, childer, clap together
Keepin' time to click and clack
Summer, winter, any weather
Out they come to Jumpin' Jack
Carnivals can't do wi'out him
Churches want him, firk bazaars
O'er sixties won't be 'bout him
Sooner in than tellie stars
Watch him go, yea, a griddly prancer
Tappin' toes and clackin' heels
Jumpin' Jack, he's best clog dancer
E'er stepped out wi' jigs and reels
Twistin', turnin', pointin', prancin'
While our fiddle sings away
Lighter than a feather dancin'
On a breezy month o' May
Pair on pair o' clogs he's battered
Still his pins are straight and true
As on day when first he clattered
In new clogs when he were two
Jack, lad, keep the toes i' the fettle
Make our spirits gay and leap
Though the clogs are shod wi' metal
We find gaud in them two feet
Watch him go, yea, a griddly prancer
Tappin' toes and clackin' heels
Jumpin' Jack, he's best clog dancer
E'er stepped out wi' jigs and reels
Twistin', turnin', pointin', prancin'
While our fiddle sings away
Lighter than a feather dancin'
On a breezy month o' May
