Our life has many milestones captured in vignettes
Photos capture moments cast like silhouettes
When it comes to your world your face is center stage
The only one you want to see on each and every page
Photos aren't just pictures they're mirrors of our heart
Each portrait tells a story a memory set apart
Reflecting what's important for better or for worse
Framed statements of what matters most those things that we put first
In your photos there you are a sparkling empty smile
Your friends should move toward the back their turn can wait a while
Striking poses hands thrown high you want to rise and glow
The world must see the life you lead at least the one you show
Photos aren't just pictures they're mirrors of our heart
Each portrait tells a story a memory set apart
Reflecting what's important for better or for worse
Framed statements of what matters most those things that we put first
Peer deeper now my friend what photos do you hold?
Loved ones cherished memories dear or something far less bold?
Are these the things that matter most the photos that you share?
Or empty scenes repeating with no one else right there?
It's funny though in my slide show you show up all the time
You're present in my picture feed my heart my soul my mind
I have many shots of you without me all alone
I doubt you have the same of me residing in your phone
Photos aren't just pictures they're mirrors of our heart
Each portrait tells a story a memory set apart
Reflecting what's important for better or for worse
Framed statements of what matters most those things that we put first
So glance again and ask yourself "what do my photos show?"
Affections deep a soulful thought or just a frail ego?
Each click each frame each moment caught what dominates your feed?
Girl look beyond your selfies now and deeper try to be
