Lyrics

On a hill far away stands an old rugged cross It's an emblem of suffering and shame How I love that old cross where the dear Lord was slain For He laid down His life for my sins Oh, I'll cling to the old rugged cross Till my burden, at last, I lay down Oh, I'll cling to the old rugged cross And I'll exchange it someday for a crown Oh, I'll cherish the old rugged cross Till my burdens, at last, I lay down I'll cling to the old rugged cross I'll exchange it someday for my crown Oh, I'll exchange it someday for my crown
