Lyrics

It was the fourth watch of the night Out on the sea with no land in sight And the storm came and they were afraid It's always roughest before the calm It's always darkest before the dawn But the sun will come, so don't be afraid As we look around today Through our storm we still hear Him say That "It is I, so be not afraid" The Lord is with you in all your ways Don't give up hope and don't be dismayed 'Cause you're not alone, so be not afraid Though the storm may rage around us Help us Lord to hear you say "Be of good cheer, for it is I, be not afraid" Just like the ship out upon the sea It's the same now for you and me The storms will come, but be not afraid He calls us out into this lonely place He sends a storm but always sends the grace To get through the storm, so be not afraid Though the storm may rage around us Help us Lord to hear you say "Be of good cheer, for it is I, be not afraid" And though the storm may rage around us Help us Lord to hear you say "Be of good cheer, for it is I, be not afraid"
