Lyrics meaning

The lyrics portray someone who hears a mysterious call and wonders where life is leading. At first, the speaker seems trapped by forces beyond their control, asking who tied them to a wheel while fate appears somewhere out of sight. The repeated invitation, โ€œCome to me,โ€ adds a sense of attraction and uncertainty. By the end, the speaker admits, โ€œI tied myself to the wheel,โ€ shifting from feeling controlled by others or destiny to recognizing a personal part in their situation.

The image of a lady playing violin to seals suggests an unusual, almost dreamlike scene in which music draws animals toward its source. The wheel may represent a cycle or a course of life that keeps turning. The zodiac turning above the speaker links their fate to the stars, though the lyrics do not say whether this is literal belief or a way to express helplessness. The sails catch the winds, but the winds โ€œtalkโ€ to the sails, not to the speaker: events seem to move the journey without explaining it to the person on it.

The speaker can hear a call but asks, โ€œHow will I see?โ€ This may mean they sense a direction or possibility without understanding it clearly. The song leaves open whether the call promises escape, danger, or simply change. Its mood is therefore both enchanted and uneasy: the speaker is drawn toward the unknown, while beginning to question how much of their path they chose themselves.
