Lyrics
Come with me let's make our way through the streets of cobblestone
As a sight unfolds before your eyes
That you've never known
As people weave through winding roads
Through the city of old
Towards the scene that strikes a cord
Towards the silence of souls
Pressed against the ancient stones
That carried through the years
The tragedies and bitter pains
Of countless Jewish tears
But on Shabbos all our suffering is hidden by the glow
Of the kotel and it's secrets that only our hearts know
Shabbat shalom good Shabbos
Shabbat Shalom Good shabbos
As peace descends on the western wall
Good Shabbos
Growing from a whisper
To an echo to a cry
That resonates towards heaven to the angels on high
Sing with me good Shabbos
I'll sing with you good shabbos
Let the differences just melt away
Good Shabbos
The holiest of places
On the holy shabbos day
Weren't we always meant to be this way
There's the chassid swaying fervently as he recites lecha dodi
There's the haunting melody of
There's the brave chayal still wondering what he's doing there
They unite tonight as brothers minus all that they share
