Lyrics
You don't know the pain
Of opening your Spotify Artist Page
And seeing all your songs have
Less than a thousand streams
It all feels so in vain
To want a spotlight when you don't have a stage
And it makes you feel like
You should give up on your dreams
So I ask you
You, who have the power
You, who have the promise
You, who unknowingly keep me honest
Please keep me in mind
Please just take the time
Open up your app and
Put me on your playlist
I know I'm no famous,
A-List, Artist, Celebrity
I'm no indie queen,
I'm no TikTok teen
But I write music, too
And it's a little emo
Some acoustic stuff that's pretty cool
And - oh who am I kidding
We know
The only way I'll earn a dime on Spotify
Is if you
Put me on your playlist
Please
Come on
Come on, put me on there
It's alright
Yeah, you can do it
Come on
Put me on there
Please
Please
Please
