Once I was lost, I was living in sin
My life was hopeless, no peace within
I was alone, downhearted and sad
Needed a change in my heart
I bowed a knee, shed a tear and sigh
Lifted my eyes to the Man in the sky
Now I'll sing and shout the good news
There's been a wonderful change
There's been a wonderful change in my soul
Since Jesus made all the billows roll
Now I'm glad to say I am on my way
Oh, He changed my heart, changed my soul and my life
Saved me from trouble, from sin and its strife
Now I'll sing, I'll shout the good news
There's been a wonderful change
ย
When I shall come to the end of the way
I will rest at close of the day
I'll wear a robe and a bright, shining crown
In that land so fair
And then I'll lay down the care, disappointments and strife
Tell my worries and troubles goodbye
Then I'll sing and shout the good news
There's been a wonderful change
There's been a wonderful change in my soul
Since Jesus made all the billows roll
Now I'm glad to say I am on my way
Oh, He changed my heart, changed my soul and my life
Saved me from trouble, from sin and its strife
Now I'll sing, I'll shout the good news
There's been a wonderful change
Oh, there's been a wonderful change in my soul
Since Jesus made all the billows roll
Now I'm glad to say I am on my way
Oh, He changed my heart, changed my soul and my life
Saved me from trouble, from sin and its strife
Now I'll sing, I'll shout the good news
There's been a change down in my heart
There's been a wonderful change
There's been a wonderful change
