That's what they said
Make it work
He gon make it work
We gon raise these kids
We gon raise em in the church
He gon make it work
He gon make it work
He gon work a miracle
It aint gon be his 1st
Make it work
He gon make it work
We gon raise these kids
We gon raise em in the church
He gon make it work
He gon make it work
He gon work a miracle
It aint gon be his 1st
Started trusting God
But at first I was leary
Heart was growing weary
And my eyes were getting teary
I was losing hope
Things were lookin kinda dreary
I was bout to call it quits for real
It was serious
Self sabotage so many mistakes
We was makin progress
Then I got in her face
I was talkin nonsense
Words I can't erase
I was unconscious
Tryna keep the ego safe
I was sayin things
That I can't take back
Passive aggressive when I'm hurt
And it's whack
Holy Spirit knows
That I lack self control
But Holy Spirit ain't about to leave me in the cold
Holy Spirt workin
He's workin on soul
Workin my attitude
Workin on my tone
Workin on my patience
He's workin on my faith
Workin on my nerves
Cuz he tellin me to wait
Make it work
He gon make it work
We gon raise these kids
We gon raise em in the church
He gon make it work
He gon make it work
He gon work a miracle
It aint gon be his 1st
Make it work
He gon make it work
We gon raise these kids
We gon raise em in the church
He gon make it work
He gon make it work
He gon work a miracle
It aint gon be his 1st
He's workin our marriage
So I ain't givin up
I'm not walkin away
Unless he tells me to give up
I hear em loud n clear
Still tellin me to wait
What God has joined together
Let no man separate
17 years
It's been 17 today
I'm glad I got a Jesus
That's tellin me to stay
That's telling me to pray
That be telling me to trust Him
Tells me to be patient
He keep tellin me don't rush em
Told me guard my heart
Said don't let em take my praise
Tells me to be grateful
So I thank em everyday
He gon make it work
Told me go enjoy my day
Told me He dont need no help
Move boy get out the way
Holy Spirit workin
He's workin on my soul
He's workin on us both
Told me he gon make us whole
Holy Spirit movin
And now I'm movin wit em
He gon make it work
I kno I ain't losin with em
Make it work
He gon make it work
We gon raise these kids
We gon raise em in the church
He gon make it work
He gon make it work
He gon work a miracle
It aint gon be his 1st
Make it work
He gon make it work
We gon raise these kids
We gon raise em in the church
He gon make it work
He gon make it work
He gon work a miracle
It aint gon be his 1st
See faith is not an imaginary state
Where I get myself worked up into a delusion
Like nothing's ever gonna go bad again
And then I'm surprised when bad stuff happens
Faith is a focus
Faith is the ability
To say I'm putting my eyes
On the goodness of God
In this moment
And I'm not looking back
And I'm not looking forward
And I'm not looking around
My mind has already reached a conclusion
God is for me
God is with me
If the wind be against me
If the world be against me
If all hell's power nails Him to a cross
In 3 days He will rise
Because my faith is focused
On the word of God that I'm walking toward
And I wanna prophecy over somebody today
And declare over your life
The wind doesn't have to stop
For you to keep walking toward Jesus
And the situation doesn't have to get better
For you to see the glory of God
I'm telling you what I know
If everything goes worse
If everything gets crazy
If everything rises up against you
God is an army
God is a second circle
God is an ever present help in the time of trouble
And if your life is built on the foundation of His word
There is no wind that can rage against you
That can shake it off
