It's Christmastime in Nashville
Lets honky-tonk neath the mistletoe
We've been waiting all year long for Santa
To hear them southbound sleigh bells toll
We got the candles in the window
Couple cans of spray-on snow
I bet meemaw's spiking the eggnog
Papaw's picking silent night on the banjo
Got us a no nut fruit cake
Know all the reindeer by heart
In front of this Airbnb, there's a Joseph and Mary
And Jesus lit up like a Walmart
Let's spend Christmas in Nashville
Invite the whole family
For some holiday times in those southern pines
So climb up this ladder Mama help me
Trim this tree
Trim this tree
Let's trim it green and red gold and silver
Hang some of them dollar tree ornaments on
String a few of those neon lights that twinkle all night
And lets carol some old cheating songs
Rudolph's pulling our pedal tavern
Over the river and through the woods
Delivering toys to all the hillbilly boys and girl's
At least the ones that's been good
Let's spend Christmas in Nashville
Invite the whole family
For some holiday time in those southern pines
So climb up this ladder Mama help me
Trim this tree
Trim this tree
Christmastime is here in music city
Fa-la-la-la
Fa-la- la-la la-la
Decorate your Christmas tree so pretty
Now the stockings are hung by the deer rack
Goo, goo, clusters set out by fire
So that Jolly old St Nick gets an insulin kick
To climb that old chimney higher
We know the reason for the season
Be with the ones you love
Ring those jingle bells, and raise a little hell
Before that January cold-spell comes
Let's spend Christmas in Nashville
No place I'd rather be
Than here with mama and pop putting that star on top
And all my kinfolk helping
Trim this tree
