Well, I roll with the punches every day at work
Sometimes that old boss man can really be a jerk
He's the first one there when something's gone wrong
Looking for somebody to put the blame on
He can't touch us now with all his trouble and his strife
I got one leg out the gate because it's Friday night
Friday night and I'm in the clear
There's smiles all around because the weekend's here
We'll hit the town and we'll do it right
Gonna have a good time 'cause it's Friday night
Well, all through the week my mind's in a daze
From breakfast to dinner it's the same every day
I punch in my card and pick up my check
And just when I think that life's a pain in the neck
I go get my girl and I come to life
We'll paint the town red 'cause it's Friday night
Friday night and I'm in the clear
There's smiles all around because the weekend's here
We'll hit the town and we'll do it right
Gonna have a good time 'cause it's Friday night
With my eyes like road maps, Monday's here
And the hair of the dog is my biggest fear
Tuesday and Wednesday seem the same
And Thursday I become excited again
One more sleep then I'll be alright
Then I'll hit the ground running 'cause it's Friday night
Friday night and I'm in the clear
There's smiles all around because the weekend's here
We'll hit the town and we'll do it right
Gonna have a good time 'cause it's Friday night
We'll have a good time because it's Friday night
