Lyrics
Got a brand new baby called-a Wicked Ruby
She's my brand new baby, and she's mad at me
She won't say a word that'll save her soul
Hurry, Miss Ruby, let's rock and roll
Wicked Ruby, oh, oh, oh, oh
Wicked Ruby, oh, oh, oh, oh
Wicked Ruby
Ruby, let's rock and roll
Now, my Wicked Ruby is-a six foot two
She's got red hair and eyes of blue
I asked her, "Ruby, baby, take a walk with me"
She said, "Okay now, ooh-ooh wee"
Wicked Ruby, oh, oh, oh, oh
Wicked Ruby, oh, oh, oh, oh
Wicked Ruby
Ruby, why can't you be good?
Now, me and Ruby was a-goin' steady
She caught out with this guy named Eddie
She said she's sorry and would be good
Told her, "Go find that no-good-hood"
Wicked Ruby, oh, oh, oh, oh
Wicked Ruby, oh, oh, oh, oh
Wicked Ruby
Ruby, why can't you be good?
Now, when I told Ruby that we were through
She hit me with her high-heel shoe
I got a big bump on the top of my head
She said, "Well, you're lucky that you are not dead"
Wicked Ruby, oh, oh, oh, oh
Wicked Ruby, oh, oh, oh, oh
Wicked Ruby
Ruby, why can't you be good?
Now, that is the story of Ruby and me
Once we were, now we're never gonna be
I am free, that's okay with me
Stay away, Ruby, stay away from me
Wicked Ruby, oh, oh, oh, oh
Wicked Ruby, oh, oh, oh, oh
Wicked Ruby
Ruby, stay away from me
