Lyrics
Sometimes it's hard,
But try and you'll make it.
Believe you me.
In order to achieve,
Go forth and take it.
Set yourself free,
With obstacles in your way,
You may fall before you rise,
But if you really want good
Your nose haffi run
So get up and keep your eyes on the prize
And as part of the plan you fi have ambition
And the almighty one as your foundation
Nuh budda get rich and switch because that's definitely wrong
Mi a tell yuh doan forget yuh friends an where yuh come from
If you a tief, tief,
Remember God nah sleep
An aldoah yuh rob a man an get whey las' week
You a go laff outa street
But beaten gwine sweet
Because god is a silent river
An yuh know him run deep
Throughout history,
Lots of great men and women,
Went about things the old-fashioned way,
They just kept on winning & winning
So strive
Step up in life and go for what you know
You've got to strive
Remove the doubt from out your mind and let good flow.
I say strive in a positive way,
Do the same for the rest of your days.
Everybody gotta move that way,
Everybody gotta rock this way,
What am talkin is a serious thing,
Watchin people jus doin them ting,
Everybody rocking in the groove,
Everybody wan ta make their move.
Be not moved by smart remarks,
Or people who think they're whitty,
Keep moving on,
Boy, you gotta be strong,
And don't indulge in self-pity
Strive
Step up in life and go for what you know.
You've got to Strive,
Remove the doubt from out your mind and let good flow.
With obstacles in your way,
You may fall before you rise,
But if you really want good
Your nose haffi run,
So get up and keep your eyes on the prize.
Strive,
Get up in life and go for what you know,
You've got to Strive,
Remove the doubt from out your mind and let good flow.
Throughout history,
Lots of great men and women,
Went about things the old-fashioned way,
They just kept on winning and winning.
So strive
Step up in life and go for what you know,
You've got to Strive,
Remove the doubt from out your mind and let good flow.
