Lyrics
Oh, oh Jah, bless the soul of the wandering tribe
From סיני (Sinai) to גולן (Golan), we chantin' again
God the Lord
I come from the seed of David, son of Jesse
In I blood runs the fire of kings, real prophecy
Babylon tried break we, still we stand tall
From Rome to Kush they buildin' them wall
But the spirit of Zion, it no fade nor fall
Hear me cry in the night like a shofar call
We walk through the desert barefoot in chains
Dreaming of ציון, Zion
In the midst of pain, Ethiopia calling from the heights of Sheba
Lion of Judah, burnin' like a nebula
We sing for justice like rivers flow
In the shadow of exile, we glow and grow
Roots of Judah, rise up again
Through the exile, through the flame
From the ashes, we chant His name
שכינה (Shekhinah), guide us through the rain
Oh Zion, home of soul
We comin' home, we break control
The scrolls still speak from the hands of Ezra
Tales of exile, blood on the menorah
But we dance ́pon the ruins like David did
With a harp in hand and a righteous bid
Galut (גלות) couldn't chain what Jah has blessed
Through the centuries, still we manifest
Me remember Sura, remember Spain
The Inquisition tried bury our name
But like Moses in the rushes we rise again
With torches lit in Babylon rain
Yes I, Jerusalem in I eye
From גולוס (Golus) to גאולה (Geulah) we never die
Roots of Judah rise up again
Through the exile, through the flame
From the ashes we chant his name
שכינה (Shekhinah), guide us through the rain
Oh Zion, home of soul
We comin' home, we break control
We all children of the wandering flame
Scattered like sparks yet one in name
With drums of redemption and ancient sound
We plant our feet on holy ground
So gather the tribes from the ends of the earth
Sound the ram's horn for the second birth
This reggae no just riddim, it's a prayer in fire
To the God of Israel, our hearts desire
