Power of Soul

The lyrics present “the power of soul” as a force that makes action and possibility feel open-ended. The repeated chorus is confident and encouraging, while the verses are more playful and surreal. The mood moves between an invitation to rise above limits and a teasing warning to pay attention to how one uses freedom.

Flying is the main image: airplanes rise, a kite lifts into the air, and the singer urges listeners to look up. It can suggest ambition or escape, though the kite slipping from someone’s wrist hints that freedom may also mean losing control. The jellyfish, said to float, extend the idea of drifting without effort. “Getting high” could refer to a literal or altered state, but here it also fits the song’s imagery of floating and feeling lifted.

The song does not explain exactly what “soul” means. It may point to inner strength, creativity, or a feeling of spiritual energy; the repeated promise that anything is possible gives the phrase an empowering sense. Yet the question about whether this is the way someone wants to be, followed by “look out now,” complicates the celebration. The lyrics may be praising freedom while also suggesting that rising or drifting without care has risks.
