In the violent October 1347
A ship from far Asia did sail into port
In the cargo the rats all covered with fleas
Come to old Europe to spread their disease
Demonic, bubonic, and the worst of all
Subsernic plague would kill in an hour
They hid in their houses
Put signs on their doors
Lord have mercy on us
But God let 'em fall
Old villages vanished beneath Death's scythe
The reaper did harvest while spirits did fly
Demonic, bubonic, and the worst of all
Subsernic plague would kill in an hour
One third of the world in two years was gone
Foxes and crows did nest in their towers
The churches stood empty
The farms all untended
The streets piled bodies
All black and distended
Demonic, bubonic, and the worst of all
Subsernic plague would kill in an hour
The moans of the living and dying combined
The concoffonous that echoes through time
It could happen again we pretend
God loves us more than he did back then
It could happen again
Not like this
Just close your eyes dear
We got to pretend
